Pre-launch

Amio has not launched yet. This site describes the product being built — the app is not downloadable, and the legal documents are drafts pending review.

amio
Not a swiping app

A signal to the people
already nearby.

Say what you’re up for. See what happens nearby. Amio makes room for the small, specific invitations that get a city moving.

Approximate location only. Your signal, your timing.
7 signals near youNothing permanent

Not a feed. Not a popularity contest.
Just an opening.

01 / the idea
A little more of the picture

Make room for the real world.

Amio is made for the in-between moments: the walk you almost skipped, the table with one extra seat, the local question that deserves a human answer.

The simple version

Start with a signal.
Let context do the rest.

Amio is built around a smaller, more natural way to find your people. No profile to maintain. No audience to perform for.

01

Post a vibe

Say what you are open to right now: a walk, a table, a local tip, a shared hour.

specific beats polished
03

Respond in context

When something feels like a fit, respond to the moment. The conversation already has somewhere to begin.

A quieter kind of privacy

Nearby without being watched.

Amio is careful with the details that make a place feel like yours. You choose your radius. You choose when to be visible. And every signal has an ending.

Soft locationWe show an approximate area, never a pin.
Natural limitsSignals disappear when the moment has passed.
No public scoreThere is nothing to rank and no audience to grow.
What we will protect
01Specific over impressive

A real Tuesday beats a polished identity.

02Nearby over endless

Fewer possibilities. Better chances to act.

03Mutual over broadcast

Connection starts with a shared context.

Meeting someone

The advice that holds,
every time.

Structural design choices are our job. The rest is the same advice worth following anywhere.

01

Before you go

  • Meet somewhere public, the first time and the second.
  • Tell a friend who you are meeting, where, and roughly when you expect to be done.
  • Arrange your own transport there and back.
  • Keep the first conversation on Amio rather than moving to another app straight away.
  • Leave whenever you want to — you owe nobody an explanation.
public, planned, your own way home
02

Report it, then block

  • Asking for money, a loan, a UPI transfer, or help with a “stuck payment” — for any reason
  • Pushing hard to move off Amio, or to meet somewhere private, immediately
  • A story that keeps changing, or that needs you to keep it secret
  • Refusing every public place you suggest
  • Pressure of any kind, about anything, at any speed
any one of these — no certainty required
Questions, answered plainly

A few things
worth knowing.

We are making Amio slowly, with the edges in mind.

Still curious?Come along early.
What is a signal?

A signal is a small, time-bound invitation: a vibe, a question, or a specific plan. It gives people nearby something real to respond to instead of asking them to perform a profile.

Does Amio share my exact location?

No. Signals are placed in an approximate area, never on a pin, and you choose how wide that area is. Your exact position is never shown to another person.

Who can see a signal?

People inside the soft circle you chose, for the short window you chose. When the window closes the signal is gone — there is no archive of it to browse later.

Is Amio another social feed?

No. There is nothing to scroll for its own sake, no followers, and no score. A signal exists to be answered or to expire.

Come in before the crowd

Be part of the
first signal.

We are inviting a small first circle in Bengaluru, then taking Amio wherever people want more of the real world.

No noise. No selling your details. Just an invitation when it is time.
